Description
Downtown Sarasota law firm seeking a bookkeeper to oversee client billing and general financial management. Duties include preparing client bills, bank reconciliations, general ledgers, processing payroll, managing payables and receivables, and preparing financial reports. Family-friendly and some remote work possible. Law firm experience preferred.
Responsibilities
•Compare and adjust general ledgers, analyze financial reports such as income and loss statements, account reconciliations, and balance sheets
•Work with staff and clients to address client charges on invoices
•Process accounts receivable and accounts payable and run monthly client invoices
•Ensure staff and attorney payroll is processed, prepare annual W-2's and 1099's, and tax filings
Qualifications
•Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or related field experience at a law firm or accounting firm.
•Applicants should have excellent attention to detail.
•High school diploma or equivalent, plus some college is preferred - bachelor's degree is a plus
•Knowledgeable with MS Excel, data entry, and accounting software
